Hello!
We are Meet Me In The Middle Cafe- supporting mental health, suicide prevention and The Compassionate Friends.
We thought it might be good to share our story so far, and continue to update you with our development and progress.
So here goes!
Our cafe came about through the enormous sadness of personal tragedy. I lost one of the most beautiful people, my son Bill, to suicide. There isn’t an hour goes by where he isn’t in my thoughts and the despair was driving me mad. I had to get a distraction. So I opened a cafe (as you do)!!
Meet Me In The Middle is a Paul Kelly song I played at Bill’s funeral. It’s beautiful and gave me hope. The last verse is “ in my house you’ll dwell forever, you shall not want for care, surely goodness and mercy will follow you”. I promised Bill I would live by goodness and mercy.

So we have to get the joint rocking! We do amazing food and delicious coffee!

We’re always on the lookout for volunteers too so if you’re an ace cake maker who’d like to help us voluntarily while we grow we’d love to hear from you.
We have a lovely sunny back yard we’d like to develop for summer with a veggie patch and sitting area if anyone can help. Hope to catch up soon.
